About the Role

Who do I report to?                           Regional Facilities Manager


What’s the purpose of the job?


To be fully responsible for maintaining the decoration and appearance of clubs to an exceptional level and ensuring premium facilities and an excellent experience for our members.  This forms part of the day to day operation of successful DL Clubs 7 days a week.


What will I be doing?

  • Taking an active role in improving the appearance of the clubs within your area by ensuring high standards of painting and decorating to positively impact the member experience and delivering premium facilities
  • Delivering member obsessed service through ensuring high standards on decoration and appearance are always maintained
  • Ensuring attention to detail through in-house preventative and reactive maintenance, quick response times to defects and by effectively managing property management system
  • Supporting the department team in ensuring all Health and Safety requirements and documentation is maintained in a timely and accurate way
  • Ensuring the team, members and anyone in our clubs are always in a safe and healthy environment
  • Management of stock levels, following our operating and finance procedures
  • Participating and sharing knowledge and expertise with peers and other team members
  • Building and delivering a planned refresh schedule
  • Support other clubs in the estate with Maintenance tasks and duties as required
  • Delivering ad hoc activities as required


How will I be measured?

  • Through the KPI measures within the DL clubs’ ways of operating
  • Delivering individual personal objectives set by the Regional Facility Manager Members and team member feedback
  • My performance and my personal objectives aligned to our strategies and values
  • Compliance against all legislative and company audits


What qualifications, skills and experience do I need?

  • Experience working as a professional Painter / Decorator - Essential
  • Experience working in a commercial, service led environment- Essential
  • City & Guild level 3 in painting and decorating – Desirable
  • Shows a genuine passion when engaging with members and team members
  • Demonstrates excellence in customer service
  • Strong listening and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both days and night shifts as required by the business – Essential
  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Full Driving License – Essential
